Thanks to this attitude, we support our employees at all times, during their social commitments or in developing their skills for the efficient use of our technology.In our mind, this openness - in addtion to our expertise in injection moulding technology- is an asset, which we are happy to share with our customers, even outside the normal production process. Energy efficiency
Saving energy is the safest, cheapest and most environmentally friendly energy source of the future. Energy-efficient industrial plants therefore make an important contribution to the energy transition and at the same time increase the competitiveness of companies. At AFK, the concept of ecology is also a top priority in our energy management system. We strive for sustainability not only with forward-looking developments in injection moulding technology, but also specifically with high investments in CO2-neutral production. We already cover a large part of our electricity consumption with renewable energies and will continue to do so.
For ecological and economic efficiency, we also rely on resource-saving recycling processes in production and a state-of-the-art heat recovery system. This enables us to use the waste heat from our injection moulding machines to completely heat the AFK building complex. We are convinced that ecology and economy can only shape our future sensibly if they go hand in hand.
And that's why we don't just think about making a change. We do it: by participating in the ÖKOPROFIT project, we have been able to demonstrate our intensive endeavours to produce sustainably. Ökoprofit (completely ecological project for integrated environmental technology) is a co-operation project between local authorities and local businesses with the aim of reducing operating costs while at the same time conserving natural resources (including water and energy).
